VELOCITY HD Studios is located at the famed WQED Multi-Media Complex in Pittsburgh, one of the most advanced and historic television studios in the nation. WQED is home to trail-blazing TV productions such as Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and The War That Made America, and is home to an Emmy Award-winning staff and crew experienced in delivering high-level VELOCITY events.
Pittsburgh is known for its rich broadcasting and film production history, including WQED-TV, the first public television station; KDKA-AM, the first commercially licensed radio station; and more than 50 hit film productions, from Angels in the Outfield (1951) to Night of the Living Dead (1968) to The Deer Hunter (1978) to The Silence of the Lambs (1991) to The Dark Knight Rises (2012). Also, the Warner Bros. film empire started in Pittsburgh with the company’s first film exchange office.
